The New East Lubbock Neighborhood Garden is Coming Soon
If you are looking to get more involved in caring for plants, whether in the form of gardening or house plants, there is a new place coming to Lubbock that you will love.
Cassi Carrasco posted to Facebook announcing her new project with the East Lubbock Art House. She describers it as “a small plant oasis to help the community of Lubbock have an opportunity to better connect with nature more intimately.”
What's it all about?
She wants to connect with any and all Lubbock plant lovers and create a space for people to enjoy nature in a new way.
This Neighborhood Garden will take on a similar approach to community fridges and libraries as a take-one-leave-one system. You can take a plant you fall in love with, leave one that needs someone else’s care, or simply enjoy your time with the plants.
Carrasco is accepting donations to help make this dream project a reality. These donations can be monetary, or any gardening related materials.
Materials Needed:

As a plant lover, I think it is great to have something like this in town. It can help those that don’t have access to much nature have a connection with plants and get that important exposure.
