Warning, These Are The Major Mistakes That Destroy Local Lubbock Businesses
This is going to be a little bit of tough love, y'all.
Love is the operative word. We love small, local Lubbock businesses. And it hurts to see these mom-and-pops make the major mistakes that those of us in the advertising business know can quickly lead to "game over."
I thought of this topic today as I passed by a closed business that my husband had never even heard of before. They made plenty of blunders- including expanding too quickly and failing to let anyone know they opened a second location. It ended up tanking both locations.
And yes, not advertising is one of those critical mistakes small businesses make. However, it's one of many potential errors, and many of the other mistakes cost nothing not to make- except maybe a little time and forethought.
I would be thrilled if every Lubbock entrepreneur could make a success of their passion and dreams. However, it takes more than just courage and capital to make it happen- it takes hard work, good sense, and a bit of luck. Sorry, we can't help you with the last thing.
So before you commit to the lease and purchase your stock, perhaps consider if you are willing to make the sacrifices and truly learn your business- otherwise, you may be setting yourself up for heartbreak.
And if you currently have a small business, it may help as a reminder to review this list to make sure you're doing everything you can to ensure your own success.
And whatever you do, I do wish you good luck. Just do your best to make your own luck- so fate can meet you halfway.
