We reported back in December that a new, second Five Below location was coming to Lubbock. Now, the wait is nearly over.

Lubbock's first Five Below is located in the West End Shopping Center (2910 W Loop 289 Acc Rd Suite 625) and stays consistently busy from my personal experience, so it's great that we are getting a second spot to score deals.

The new location is 2809 50th Street in the Caprock Shopping Center, near Ross Dress-For-Less and Rainbow, making the area a bargain destination.

The Grand opening will be this weekend, Friday, March 14th, beginning at 10 a.m. through Sunday, March 16th, according to the Facebook Event page.

Five Below Grand Opening Weekend! Activities & Trivia (with prizes) all weekend long!
Saturday 3/15 ONLY:
*FREE Hot Dogs from 12-3PM (limit 2 per person)!
*FREE Drawstring Bag while supplies last!
Just in case you have never been to a Five Below, it's a fun shopping experience with tons of snacks, toys, games, cosmetics, electronics, gifts, accessories, and more. The candy selection is amazing. "Trendy, Fun & Affordable Finds" is their motto.
Judging by their website, this store is likely full of everything you'll want for Easter baskets, from little ones to teens.
Five Below refers to the fact that most items are priced $5 or lower, however, some items are more- for example, a small suitcase is $25 on the website right now. The low prices and nice, round numbers make it a great place to teach kids about money.
Lubbock wants and needs affordable shopping options, so I am excited for this new location of Five Below, and honestly, I think we could stand to have a thrid location, too. By my house.
