An anonymous tip through Crimestoppers led to the arrest of one of Texas' 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders back in August of this year, that tip paid $3000, and the arrest meant that this man is off the streets once again.
On August 4, 2023, Larry Ray Capko, also known as Larry Capcoat and Larry Ray Cornstubble, who was previously affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, and one of Texas's 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders, was apprehended in Fort Worth.
Texas Department of Public Safety Special Agents, acting on an anonymous tip, successfully located and arrested Capko at a residence, with support from the Tarrant County Fugitive Task Force Unit. Capko's criminal history dates back to 2015 when he was convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child involving a 16-year-old girl, resulting in a two-year sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
In July 2022, Capko faced another arrest in Parker County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements, but he was able to post bail and secure his release. Since July 26, 2022, the Parker County Sheriff's Office has been seeking his apprehension due to his Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Furthermore, on December 15, 2022, the Montague County Sheriff's Office issued warrants for Capko's arrest for the Assault of a family member.
Capko's capture was made possible thanks to a tip received through Texas Crime Stoppers, leading to a $3,000 reward being paid for his apprehension.
