High-Speed Chase in Lubbock Ends With Suspect Dead

An officer-involved shooting happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th and left one suspect dead.

Police initially tried to make a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East Dartmouth at around 2:12 p.m. One of the two suspects ran and stole someone's car, which began the high-speed chase.

KAMC News reports the vehicle eventually spun out on Regis Street just west of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

It's said the suspect tried to ram into officers, which led to police opening fire.

The suspect has yet to be identified.
