Glenn Hegar, one of the Republican runnings for Texas Comptroller in the 2014 Primary, appeared on Pratt on Texas earlier this week.

Mr. Hegar is currently a State Senator representing Texas' 18th district.

Hegar's campaign recently received a boost when he was endorsed by the Texas Homeschool Coalition.

Hegar also discussed the purpose of the Comptroller's Office in the Texas governmental system and how he would bring more transparency to the office if elected.

Mr. Hegar addressed the difficulties the comptroller faces when making the revenue estimate and methods he sees for correcting that estimate in time with new information.
