The Texas Department of Public Safety is warning the public about a man on the Texas 10 Most Wanted List, and a reward is being offered for his capture. 20-year-old Marques Jujuan Thompson of Texarkana is suspected of being involved in multiple shootings.

The Texarkana Police Department first issued a warrant for Thompson's arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for his alleged involvement in that shooting, but a day later on Jan. 12., they also issued a warrant for murder after someone passed away from their injuries sustained in the shooting.

Thompson's first conviction took place back in 2018, when he was tried for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Bowie County for his involvement in a shooting that occurred in 2017.

Thompson was sentenced to probation for that offense, but on August 27, 2020, a warrant was issued in Bowie County for violating the terms of his probation. A few months later on Sept. 9, a warrant was also issued for Failure to Appear, and for Stalking/Intimidation.

Things only got worse from there. In January 2021, multiple warrants were issued for Possession of a Firearm and Battery. Police say Thompson then got involved in a shooting in Texarkana in December 2020, and he is now also wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Murder.

He was last seen in Texarkana but also has ties to the Dallas Metroplex and Texarkana, Arkansas. A reward of up to $5000 is being offered for information leading to his capture. Call 1-800-252-8477.
