Lubbock police were led on a dangerous high speed car chase on Tuesday (Oct. 1) that led to the arrest of four men.

The Lubbock Police Department says the chase began after an employee at a local Academy Sports store reported that a man had stolen a gun and was driving away in a white Chevy Impala.

According to KAMC News, officers spotted the vehicle at about 6:20 p.m. near South Loop 289 and Quaker Avenue. Police say the vehicle reached speeds of 100mph before suffering a blowout in the area of 50th Street and Southeast Drive.

Four males were taken into custody, including a man police were previously searching for: 18-year-old Mizarius Williams, who's been wanted by police since September for an outstanding felony warrant.

Three other men were also arrested: 17-year-old Fidencio Galvan III, 20-year-old Ricardo Real Jr., and 22-year-old Xavier Devon Wilson. They’ve each been charged with engaging in organized crime and theft of a firearm. Williams has also been charged with evading in a vehicle.
