Former George W. Bush Adviser Karen Hughes To Speak At Lubbock Women’s Club [AUDIO]
On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Ainsley Nelson of the Lubbock Women's Club talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about an upcoming speaker the group is bringing to town.
Karen Hughes, the former adviser to former President George W. Bush, will be speaking at the Lubbock Women's Club in May as part of the Ernestine Payne Welborn Endowment Community speaker series. Hughes is the worldwide vice-chair of Burson-Marsteller, and has also worked extensively with George W. Bush, both during his campaign for governor of Texas and during his presidency. Nelson added that Hughes has traveled all over as a member of the State department, and that she is looking forward to the stories Hughes has to tell.
