Lubbock firemen were called out to cope with two fires last night.

One blaze broke out around 7:30 PM at Harrigan's restaurant on 50th Street, prompting the evacuation of customers and staff. There were no injuries. The blaze started at a grill in the kitchen, but was contained to the immediate area. The resturaunt suffered no major damage and was expected to re-open today.

Firemen also battled flames that swept a house in the 7800 block of Avenue X. No injuries reported so far as a result of that fire.
