
Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Gaines County Kills Denver City Man

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the identity of the individual killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, February 12th, in Gaines County.
The crash happened just before 12 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 211 and County Road 212, northwest of Seminole.
Authorities say a Lincoln Navigator driven by 48-year-old Randy Atwood, of Hobbs, New Mexico, was driving south on County Road 211. Meanwhile, a Nissan Murano driven by 57-year-old Enrique Nunez Sotelo, of Denver City, was traveling west on County Road 212.
Atwood ran the stop sign at the intersection and wrecked into Sotelo. Sotelo died as a result of the crash while Atwood was taken to Covenant Medical Center where he recovered.
