Lubbock Police responded to reports of a driver pointing a gun at another driver in what's being called a road rage incident.

KAMC News reports that in the evening hours of Sunday, October 18th, a woman and her son were driving in the 5800 block of 98th Street. The son, whose age wasn't provided, was the one who was driving.

It's then said that someone in another vehicle attempted to cut the two off. The police report then says the other driver tailgated.

The mother and son then turned right onto Milwaukee Avenue, and that's when the other driver allegedly pulled up next to the passenger side of their vehicle and pointed a black pistol at the mother, shaking it at her.

The mother picked up her phone to call 911, to which the other driver allegedly yelled "Go ahead."

The mother and son told officers that they were in "imminent fear of serious bodily injury" since they believed that the other driver was going to shoot at them.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured in this incident. A description of both the suspect and their vehicle have not been given. It also wasn't made immediately clear if anyone else was in the suspect's vehicle.

As of Tuesday, October 20th, police did not have an update on the case.
