Civil disobedience will be alive and well this evening at an event called, Potluck in the Park. Last week we discussed the Lubbock couple who got their act of charity shutdown by city officials. The couple has spent the last couple of years cooking food and giving it out to the homeless. Last week, they were shutdown and told they would have to get a permit to continue. That action made many angry and one Lubbock man decided to protest the law by hosting a community wide potluck. According to KFYO and Allen Corbin,

Alex Scarborough is organizing the potluck to be held at Overton Park on 14th Street and Avenue U on Monday July 25th at 7:30 PM and those wishing to attend should bring a dish of food to contribute to the act of civil disobedience.

Will you be attending?
