Lubbock City Councilman for District 4, Steve Massengale, is scheduled to announce his 2020 bid for re-election. He was first elected to the position in 2016.

Massengale is both a graduate of Monterey High School and Texas Tech University. He's served in a variety of positions over the years. He worked on the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2014 and served on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission before his election to the council.

Massengale is also a local business owners and works as the CEO of the company Advanced Graphix. He also owns and operates The Matador, a Texas Tech apparel store. Massengale will announce his campaign for re-election to District 4 on Thursday, Nov. 7th, at a press conference at 11 a.m. inside the Lubbock City Council chambers.
