Crews Repair Damaged Utility Pole and Power Outage in Southwest Lubbock at 82nd Street and Quaker Avenue

Tuesday evening, a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in southwest Lubbock at 82nd Street and Quaker Avenue.

The accident happened at the northwest corner of the intersection in front of the Starbucks.

A power outage was reported within the immediate vicinity of the intersection, but that was short-lived. One person was injured as a result of the car accident.

Lubbock Police closed down the intersection for at least 3 hours as repairs were made and the utility pole up-righted.
