Covenant Health Will Honor First Responders With Two Free Meals
Breakfast is the second best way to start your day, the first is brushing your teeth, but local first responders will have the opportunity to get free food. May 21 through the 27 is National EMS Week where many local area responders are thanked for their services.
First responders do include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, and law enforcement agents and currently there are more than 1,400 in and around Lubbock County. To honor all of those first responders Covenant Health will be offering two chances during National EMS week for those first responders to obtain free food.
Covenant Health states that they will be offering free breakfast burritos from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Covenant Medical Center EMS Bay on May 22. The next free food event will be free sausage wraps for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at the Covenant Children's kite entrance. May 24th is National EMS-Children's Day (or EMS-C Day) which has it's very own program.
The EMS-C program helps ensure that all children have access to the highest quality emergency care no matter what walk of life they come from and any hardships they have previously endured. Covenant Health is able to thank first responders due to their partnership with AeroCare and United Supermarkets.
