There will also be new services such as the new Intensive Outpatient Program which will provide more services target underage kids not responsive to the normal programs. Also, Partial Hospitalizations Program which offers a day treatment program for children that are at risk for inpatient hospitalization.

The multi-million dollar unit was made possible by the Covenant Health Foundation, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, along with many donors. Covenant Children's is the region's only freestanding children's hospital and adding services to better evaluate pediatric behavioral health issues as it's benefits. It allows those children to be able to receive the treatments they need closer to home and elevates the level of care for the community.
