As certain medical supplies grow scarce across the U.S., Covenant Health in Lubbock is now requesting donations of specific kinds of protective equipment. According to a press release from Covenant Health, they're in need of the following:

  • Face shields
  • Face Masks (non-medical or n-95 face mask non-medical)
  • Face Masks (medical)
  • Medical Gowns (paper fluid resistant or plastic)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Disinfecting wipes (Clorox/Lysol wipes)
  • Baby Wipes
  • Nitrile gloves (new, in unopened box, not expired)
  • Goggles (medical)

Covenant Health will start accepting public donations of these items beginning Tuesday, Mar. 24, 2020. Citizens can drop off their donations at the Covenant Health parking lot off of 21st Street and Indiana, where a trailer and a banner will be set up, Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Those who are donating are advised to stay inside their vehicle when they arrive at the drop-off location. Covenant staff will be on site to accept the donations while maintaining social distancing guidelines.
