Need a break from the hot temperatures? Well, you are in luck because a weather system is heading our way that will bring some much needed rain and heat relief to our area.

Tuesday is shaping up to be another hot day across West Texas with Lubbock's high expected to be around 95 degrees and it does appear as though it will be another windy day. There is a slight chance of severe weather on Tuesday according to the National Weather Service. On Wednesday, things start to change. Partly cloudy skies are forecasted for Wednesday along with temperatures only in the upper 80's.

Rain is expected Thursday with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 70's in Lubbock. As of today, rain chances will stick around early Friday with the high only around 85 degrees. High temperatures don't even look bad this weekend with high's in the lower 90's which, for a Texas summer, isn't too bad.
