Monday on Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer talked about Farm Bill negotiations between the House and Senate, also commenting on the re-opening of the government and the extension of the debt ceiling.

He noted that the conference committee had been appointed and would begin negotiations on the bill next week. The Senate took this week off because of the work done last week. Neugebauer said the House and Senate would "get together and try to chart out a course. What are the areas where there are major disagreements? Where are there areas where we're pretty close?" The goal, Neugebauer said, is to be finished by early November.
