College Gameday is coming back to Lubbock!

17 years ago was the big showdown between Texas and Texas Tech, when Texas Tech upset Texas, then ranked as the number one team in the nation. College Gameday was in Lubbock for that game because they knew it was going to be a major matchup with possible national championship implications.

College Gameday Returns to Texas Tech and Lubbock

On Saturday, November 8, College Gameday makes its return to Texas Tech for another huge game. This time when Texas Tech hosts BYU. The winner of this game still has to take care of business the rest of the season, but the winner on Saturday will be in a great position to make the College Football Playoff.

Details about where College Gameday will be setup on the Texas Tech campus will be released later in the week, but since Texas Tech and BYU are scheduled to kickoff at 11am on ABC, the College Gameday show will end inside the stadium.

Get There Early If You Want to Watch in Person

College Gameday airs 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and if you want to be there in person, as someone who attended 17 years ago, the best advice I can give you is to prepare to show up early. Very early. It will be packed, but for college football fans, it's a great experience and a great memory to have.
