A Clovis man is being treated at University Medical Center in Lubbock after being hit by a semi-truck.

KAMC News reports the incident occurred around 1 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Intersection of East Grand and Lydia in Clovis. Clovis Police report a 38 year-old man was arguing with a female on the sidewalk, then ran from her into the roadway, causing a semi-truck to strike him.

The male pedestrian was taken to Plains Region Medical Center and then to UMC in Lubbock. He is reportedly in stable condition and authorities are investigating the incident.
