Christmas Eve Shooting Suspect Arrested in Lubbock
An aggravated assault suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 15) in Central Lubbock.
Lubbock Police say 29-year-old Orian Emanuel Garcia was wanted for aggravated assault in connected to the Christmas Eve shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
On December 24, 2018, police officers responded for reports of shots fired due to a domestic disturbance in the area of the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q. Initial reports indicate Garcia crashed his car into another vehicle on purpose and fired shots at a man fleeing the vehicle. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Garcia on December 28, 2018, and he was arrested Tuesday around 2 p.m. in the 7300 block of 21st Street.
Garcia has been booked in the Lubbock County Jail.
