A Lubbock, Texas man has been sentenced to 60 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to 2 counts of producing child pornography.

Thirty-eight-year-old Kyle Lamar West was arrested back in February 2020 for sexual indecency with a child. A 10-year-old girl had said that West was forcing her to perform sexual acts on him.

KAMC News reports that after West was arrested, his wife went through pictures and videos that were stored in a cloud storage account linked to his phone. Among them were pictures and videos of a 3-year-old girl performing sexual acts on West. He later admitted to forcing the child to perform these acts and recording it.

West pleaded guilty to the 2 charges in June. On Wednesday, September 28th, he was sentenced to 30 years for each of the Production of Child Pornography charges. These sentenced were to be served one after another, making it a total of 60 years in prison. West will also be given 30 years of supervised release.
