Cement Truck Involved in Four-Vehicle Accident in West Lubbock
A cement truck was at the center of a four-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in West Lubbock. KAMC News reports the accident occurred just before 4pm at 19th Street and Inler Avenue.
In addition to the cement truck, two utility vehicles and an SUV were involved in the wreck.
Five people were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but their injuries were not serious. Numerous Lubbock Police units and four ambulances were at the scene.
For most of the Friday rush-hour, both the eastbound and westbound lanes of 19th Street were blocked at Inler due to the accident. The cement truck turned over onto its side, causing authorities problems while clearing the accident scene.
