Wednesday on Lubbock's First News, Happy Le and Heather Saldaña of the Caring Family Network gave details on how to support children in foster care and the adoption process.

The Caring Family Network is a DePelchin foster care center and adoption agency, with 50-60 kids currently in foster care, with 25-30 foster homes in the area. The organization places children in good homes in various Texas counties. Le said, "We provide a loving, nurturing home... We're just keeping them safe and helping them heal from the trauma they were in." April is child abuse awareness month. So, for the next three Fridays, Catalina's Restaurant on 34th st. and Ave. P will give half the proceeds for orders of the smothered burrito and enchilada plate to the Caring Family Network.
