Buddy Holly’s 78th Birthday Bash

The Buddy Holly Center has announced details about their forthcoming event celebrating the birthday of legendary rocker Buddy Holly.

The center’s, Buddy’s 78^th Birthday Bash, event will take place on September 6-7 2014. Both days will have a full docket of events. On Saturday, September 6, the Buddy Holly Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include poodle skirt and hot rod workshops. The center will be open 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, and will feature live music courtesy of Allison Firefly.

Art collections will also be on display during the weekend  including David Leake: Impressions of Musicians and Art in Common.

Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, September 2, for both workshops as class sizes are limited. For more information or to register please call 806.775.3560. Workshops are for ages 8 & up; ages 7 & under require adult supervision.

The Buddy Holly Center has also announced that regular rates will apply during the event.
