Bryan Preston on the Alamo Treasure Road Show Coming to Lubbock
Wednesday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin Director of Communications at the Texas Land Office Bryan Preston joined Dave and Matt to talk about the Alamo Treasure Road Show coming to Lubbock tonight, April 11th.
The Alamo Treasure Road Show is a traveling event that Bryan described as, "Really the first time the Alamo has come out around to the rest of the state and brought you artifacts." The event brings artifacts from the Alamo from city to city across Texas for people to enjoy. On top of this, they will also be talking about the future preservation plans for the Alamo. "We want to hear from Texans what you want at the Alamo, what you want to see done at the Alamo over the next few years as we engage in this once in a lifetime opportunity to tell the Alamo's story better, to recapture its battlefield, and build the museum."
Bryan also explained that they will have the official Alamo historian, as well as the chief of archives and records out at the event for anyone who wanted to bring their own artifacts and stories. They want to hear and see anything you may have and possibly even include it in the Alamo museum one day.
The event will be taking place here in Lubbock at the Texas Tech National Ranching Heritage Center tonight, April 11th at 6 P.M.
