Brummett Discusses Campaign For 140th District Court

Tom Brummett joined The Chad Hasty Show on Thursday to discuss his campaign for 140th District Court Judge. Brummett currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney for Lubbock County and is seeking the Republican nomination for the 140th.

During the interview, Brummett discussed the different ways a judge can impact the number of cases being heard. With crime rising in Lubbock, the population of the Lubbock County Detention Center has increased to the point where some have discussed adding on. New pods at the jail would cost millions and according to Brummett there are steps a judge can take to move cases through the courts quicker.
