Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington joined the program to discuss yesterday's chaotic scene in Washington, D.C., including the breach of the U.S. Capitol building and security and how the events have frustrated the intentions of legislators who were in the process of objecting to the electoral vote certification.

While speaking about the crowd's push into the capitol building and ensuing pandemonium, Arrington said:

It undermined what we were trying to do legitimately: To object to what happened in this election, which is not only going to affect this election, by the way...[but] what it's going to do to every election in the future. There are lots of irregularities and allegations of various things. My chief concern is that a number of states operated outside of the bounds of the Constitution...Article Two is as clear and as plain as anything in the Constitution, only state legislatures can make election law. That was what we were trying to argue to convince our colleagues, unfortunately we didn't get enough of them to come over to our side.
