On the Wednesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Brandon Darby, managing director of Breitbart Texas, talked with Chad Hasty about the latest Texas news.

Breitbart Texas garnered quite a bit of media attention when they posted some graphic pictures of border troops who had been injured by immigrants throwing rocks at them. (warning: graphic images) Darby said that these pictures are just a sample of the dangers facing these border patrol agents day after day. He also added that there has been a growing effort by the left to do away with the border altogether and they are actively trying to undermine the efforts of the border patrol.

"There is obviously a concerted effort and a large percentage, not a majority but a large percentage on the left in the United States...who actually don't believe there should be a border, and they don't believe that there should be any limitations on the migrations of people. Very clearly, they don't respect the rule of law, and I think that's what we're seeing here. The Border Patrol Union and The National Border Patrol Council has come out and they have specifically and directly said that this is an effort from the ACLU to limit the effectiveness of the border patrol."

Darby also shared his thoughts on drug courts and the decriminalization of marijuana in Texas. Darby said that the long incarcerations and overcrowding of criminals who committed the comparatively "minor" offense of drug use is costing Texas a lot of money.
