Braddock: Fetal Heartbeat Bill Carrying Strong Support In Texas Legislature [INTERVIEW]
Monday on The Chad Hasty Show Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock joined the show to discuss all the latest news and issues in the Texas state capitol.
Braddock reviewed the past week, and what issues are front and center in the action, including cities requiring private employers to provide for paid sick leave, judicial races in the state, property tax reform, and abortion legislation.
While speaking about support for the anti-abortion Texas Heartbeat Bill (HB 1500), Braddock said,
If you look at the support for the bill so far there are more than forty co-authors, and it's not just the sort of more right leaning Republicans. It's a broad cross section of folks who I would say are maybe some more moderate, to what I would call main stream conservative lawmakers who are supporting this.
