On Tuesday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Tom Vermillion and Jack Wilhite were in studio with Chad Hasty talking about the Boys and Girls Club of Lubbock's first annual benefit team roping competition taking place this Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th. The event will be held at the Texas Tech Equestrian Center located at 5712 CR 1500 in Lubbock.

Participants must have current USTRC or WSTR membership to rope.  Registration open at 8:00 AM and roping begins at 9:30 AM both days.  Prizes include custom made saddles with the Boys & Girls Club 75th Anniversary logo on them, as well as Buckles and Breast Collars.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the new addition at the Optimist Boys & Girls Club, where they are adding a 5,000 square feet addition to the existing club, giving members more room.  There will be a new gymnasium as well as a multi-purpose room for various activities. The Club is hoping to have this project completed by Summer of 2016 so that we can better serve children.
