Bicycle Bandit Robs a Dollar General in Lubbock
One man didn't wait long into the new year before robbing a local Dollar General store.
According to Everything Lubbock, the man walked into the Dollar General on 50th Street with a toy BB gun on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. Officers with the Lubbock Police Department responded to a call shortly after 10 a.m.
According to police, an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the store.
The suspect is described as a white man wearing a black mask and a dark jacket. He reportedly left the scene of the crime on a bicycle.
In November, a man who robbed Happy State Bank using a bomb also escaped on a bicycle. Police say they have "no reason to believe" the two men are one and the same.
