
Betting Argument Leads to Shots Fired at a South Lubbock Home

One person was shot during a betting argument at a South Lubbock home on Sunday, November 7th.
Lubbock Police responded to a home in the 2700 block of 111th Street. Officers learned that people would place bets on fights and then the winner would take the cash.
EverythingLubbock reports a man won money from a bet and left with two other people. The three individuals came back later and demanded their money, but the suspect allegedly told him to come back when he was sober.
A physical altercation ensued, resulting in gunshots and broken windows at the property. One person was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
Several witnesses at the scene gave their stories of what happened but inconsistencies were present in them.
As of this time no arrests have been made.
