Chad Hasty started his broadcast career in 2003 and launched his first show in 2006 on News/Talk 790AM KFYO. In 2008, he took over Lubbock’s First News on KFYO. In October 2012, The Chad Hasty Show moved to the midday time slot of 8:30-11 a.m., and then to the afternoon show from 5-7pm at the end of 2020. Listeners across West Texas call in during the show to voice their opinions on the day's hot-button issues. Chad Hasty has interviewed senators, representatives, governors, presidential candidates, authors and local officials. In 2016, Hasty was appointed by Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick to the Elections Advisory Committee as the only representative from West Texas. In 2019, he was re-appointed to the same committee. Hasty enjoys talking politics, sports, cigars and anything else that's on the listeners' minds.
