Author Melanie Rae Thon to Hold Reading at Texas Tech

Texas Tech will host a reading by an award winning fiction author this week.

The reading by Melanie Rae Thon will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 16^th, in the English and Philosophy Building Lecture Hall room 001.

Thon’s pieces have been included in “Best American Short Stories,” “In This Light: New and Selected Stories,” and others. She has received a Whiting Writer’s Award, two fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts, and a Writer’s Residency from the Lannan Foundation.
