In 83 days, Americans will cast ballots in the 2020 Presidential Election. In Texas, ballots will be cast even sooner than that. Early voting for the November 3rd election will begin on October 13. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Governor Greg Abbott has stretched out early voting for three weeks for the November election.

On Tuesday we learned that Joe Biden has selected California Senator and former Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, as his running mate. On Wednesday, the two are expected to make their first appearance together. Biden made his selection known to the public by announcing Harris' selection as his running mate on Twitter according to an earlier story on KFYO.

"I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked Kamala Harris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate," Biden said in a statement.

Next week, the Democrat Convention will take place in Milwaukee but will largely be a virtual convention due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Republicans will hold their convention beginning August 24th in Charlotte, North Carolina.

National polling shows Joe Biden leading President Trump lately although polls are continuing to tighten. And don't forget that polls in the 2016 election had Hillary Clinton winning consistently, but in the end Donald Trump won the election.
