Arrest Warrant Released Provides More Information on Casey Owens

Sunday morning (Dec. 17), an arrest warrant was released that contained more details on the shooting death of Landon Terry that occurred last Friday.

KAMC News reports the warrant described 38-year-old Casey Owens as a jealous ex-boyfriend of the woman who lived at the location of the shooting.

Owens thought that Terry was dating the woman, but she told police that she was meeting Terry for the first time. She also believes that Owens was a meth user. The woman found Owens hiding in her residence and tried to call police, but he took the phone away and threatened to shoot her. That’s when Terry arrived at the house and Owens shot him 4 to 5 times. Terry was taken to UMC where he later died.

Today, Owens was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
