Armed Lubbock Homeowner Handles Situation Perfectly
Another example of why I tell listeners that if you are going to answer the door, be armed. This is especially true when you don't plan on having visitors stopping by. This week in Lubbock, the Lubbock Police had to respond to a "burglary in progress" call, but fortunately, the homeowner had the situation under control.
According to KAMC, a Lubbock homeowner held a woman at gun point and she entered the wrong house and refused to leave. Police reported that the woman opened the door, walked into the house and refused to leave. The homeowner heard he front door opening and grabbed his gun.
Fortunately for all involved there were no injuries and no damage done to the property according to KAMC.
The homeowner held the women at gunpoint until police arrived, stated the report. There were no injuries and no damage to the homeowner’s property.
The report stated that the woman looked confused and disoriented. According to the police report from LPD, the woman “had a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.”
KAMC also reported that the woman was charged with public intoxication but not burglary.
Good for the homeowner who did the right thing. Not one shot was fired.
