Allen West Shares His Views In Speaker Race Controversy [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Allen West, Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, joined the program to talk about the race for Speaker of the House in the Texas legislature, and to share his views in the ongoing controversy.

When asked by Hasty if he will be receptive to the decision of the Republican Caucus, if indeed it results in the nomination of Representative Dade Phelan, the favorite for the position, West replied,

Of course. If the Republican Caucus, all eighty three, come together and say, 'This is the person that we will have,' that is what we want to see happen. We want to see a strong republican majority of eighty three that's committed to electing this speaker from within their caucus, and of course they will officially do so January the twelfth, the first day of the session.
