The High Plains Water Conservation District is inviting qualifying ag producers to participate in a focus group called the Playa Lakes Joint Venture.

The group will hold two meetings in February to discuss new ways to measure the potential impacts of playa lakes on land management. Both meetings are open to ag producers who have playa lakes on land that they own or rent.

The PLJV will hold their first meeting in Amarillo on February 5th at the Hoffbrau Steak House, located at 7203 West Interstate 40.

The second meeting will take place February 6th, at the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District office in Lubbock, located at 2930 Avenue Q.

Both meetings will begin at 8:45 a.m. and end at noon with lunch provided. The deadline to RSVP is January 30th. To find out more, call 303-926-0777.
