Gov. Abbott Says Cities Can Force Businesses to Make You Wear a Mask
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has cleared the way for cities and counties to force citizens to wear masks and face coverings.
It's a loophole that the county judge in Bexar County found today and was almost applauded by Gov. Abbott for finding it.
Here's how it works. Governor Abbott said the government can't force citizens to wear masks. But local governments are allowed to force businesses to force citizens to wear a mask. And who gets blamed? Maybe the city or county, but most likely, the business.
So why didn't Gov. Abbott force businesses to require masks himself? Probably to keep his hands clean. More of my thoughts in the video above.
