Lubbock Police Release 911 Call From Weekend Whataburger Arrest [Listen]
Lubbock police have released audio from the 911 call about Eliseo Padilla III, the man who was later arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
During the call, a man tells a 911 operator that a man was being disorderly at the Whataburger at 19th St. and Ave Q.
According to another man at the restaurant who also spoke to the operator on the same call, the suspect, later identified as Eliseo Padilla III, was "sexually harassing women that're walking in, he's telling people that he's going to assault them, he's talking all kinds of crap to the people that are working there...saying he's going to rob someone."
The second person explains to the operator that Padilla was inside the Whataburger during the incident and was "standing up and yelling and pointing at people."
When asked by the operator if it seemed like Padilla had been drinking or doing any drugs, the man replied, "yeah, for sure."
Padilla was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center for Resisting Arrest, Failure to Identify and Assault a Police Officer.
