Lubbock will see a 4th of July fireworks show, even if it's a couple weeks after Independence Day.

Severe weather in Lubbock forced organizers to call off the 4th on Broadway fireworks show and concert that evening. Now, the event has been rescheduled.

According to the Fourth on Broadway Facebook page, the new fireworks extravaganza and concert will take place 7 p.m., Sunday, July 16 at Mackenzie Park.

4th on Broadway organizers are still working out a plan to provide refunds to those who purchased tickets to see the Randy Rogers Band. The Texas country act was set to play live at the event before Mother Nature stepped in.

"We are working out a refund policy and the exact details and we will have more information for everyone on Monday," organizers said on the 4th on Broadway Facebook page. Ticketholders can check their official website for more details.

For more information about the event, you can call (806) 749-2929.
