Texas Tech Lady Raiders Beat Texas While Celebrating 1993 National Championship

The Texas Tech Lady Raiders beat Texas 69-62 Sunday at the United Spirit Arena.

Chynna Brown led the Lady Raiders with 16 points and she scored her 1,000 career point during the win.

Two other Lady Raiders scored in double digits: Casey Morris had 15 points and Kelsi Baker scored 14.

The players and coaching staff of Texas Tech’s 1993 National Championship Team were honored during the game. Also, on February 17, 1993 Texas Tech beat Texas for the first time in school history.

Texas Tech is tied for second place in the Big 12 Conference with a (19-7, 9-5) record.
