A popular canned pasta food has been recalled due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

Campbell’s Soup Company, based in Paris, Texas, is recalling 1,920 cans of SpaghettiOs with meatballs which have been labeled as chicken broth.

The SpaghettiOs product is made with wheat, soy, and milk, which are all known allergens. However, the product was released with a Swanson 100% Natural Chicken Broth label, which does not declare the allergens.

The products subject to recall have the label: 14.5-oz Campbell’s “Swanson 100% Natural Chicken Broth.” The establishment number “EST. 4K, P-13” is located on the bottom of the can, along with the use-by date of January 23rd, 2015.

The products were produced on July 24th, 2013, and were sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

The issue was discovered after Campbell’s received two customer complaints of incorrectly labeled product. No reports of adverse reactions to consumption of the products have been received by the company.

Consumers with questions should call the Campbell Consumer Hotline at 866-495-3774.
