Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Ron Orr from Smoker's Haven joined guest host Cole Shooter in the KFYO studio to talk about the history of Smoker's Haven, having recently celebrated their 50th anniversary in Lubbock.

Orr shared information about continuing and upcoming cigar events and specials, including the My Father Cigars event near the end of in September, and the Crowned Heads promotion continuing through the end of August.

Smoker's Have was established in 1968 with a 50-count humidor, moved on to a store in South Plains Mall, and continues with a very large humidor in their Quorum Center shop located at at 5102 60th Street in Lubbock, just east of South Plains Mall.

About the continued success of Smoker's Haven, Orr said,

The one thing I can say as to how Smoker's Haven has been in business fifty years is without a doubt, customer service. You walk in, you become family. And that's one of the nice things about the tobacco world. You can walk into any cigar shop, and you already have something in common with the regulars there...I find Smoker's Have is just the pinnacle of that.

Orr and Shooter also discussed the FDA's new regulations on cigars, and how the regulations are affecting premium cigars, cigars makers and retailers.
