During this week's broadcast of The Chad Hasty Show from Austin, Chad was joined in the capitol by District 83 Representative Dustin Burrows.

Burrows and Hasty discussed many issues facing the state, and legislation currently on tap in the House. Among the topics discussed were transportation, water, education, agricultural liens, research into the high price of pharmaceuticals, state budget, toll roads, as well as tax reductions, including the possibility of ending the franchise tax.

On the subject of tax cuts, Burrows said:

This is the session where there is more money than we can spend over the spending cap and so if we're going to do tax cuts this is the session where we're going to see it. And I think there's a philisophical argument if we have more money than we need to fund government, more money than we can spend or should spend, it should go back to the taxpayer.

Burrows also provided information about several upcoming local town hall-style meetings with constituents in the district.
