Here's a happy story for your Friday.

Coronado High School football coach Thomas Walser recently received a very thoughtful gift from his student Hector Montez: a pair of sneakers. But not just any sneakers.

"You told me sophomore year this was your favorites shoe," says Coronado student Hector Montez before Coach Walser excitedly opens the box.

"Aw, man," Coach Walser yelled. "And they are my size!"

"I wanted these since I was in 6th grade, and I never got 'em," Walser says in the clip. "I might cry." The coach immediately tries on the sneakers in the classroom. "I love 'em."

Coach Walser hugs Montez, thanking him for the gift.

He even tweeted about his excitement. I'm sure he's thrilled to have the shoes, but even more happy to know how loved and appreciated he is.

Remember folks: Teachers work very hard, long hours for our kids' futures. That doesn't mean you have to buy them a gift (although I'm sure they wouldn't hate that). But teach your kids to be like Hector -- thoughtful, respectful and kind!
